FAQ

Thank you for taking the time to read through our website, it looks like you’ve got a few questions so why not take a look at our most frequently asked questions to see if the answer is there.

Do I pay a deposit or the full balance when booking an event?

Bookings of 6 weeks in advance & longer we only require a £99 deposit to book. The final balance would then be due 4 weeks prior to the booking.

For bookings within 6 weeks the full balance would be required to book.

How do I get a quote & make a full booking?

This is really easy, just click on this link to go to our automated quote & booking page www.jam-inns.co.uk/quote just remember to follow steps 1, step 2 & step 3 & press check availability.

How long in advance do I need to book?

Weekends are our busiest time & we often take bookings commonly 6 – 12 months in advance. If your planning something last minute it’s worth filling in the quote form to check availability but realistically if it’s during the summer it’s unlikely we’d have availability. For corporate events during the week availability changes daily so it’s always best to check when your in a position to book.

Do I need to do anything on the day of the booking?

For private parties all we require is enough space for guests to be sat comfortably on the day with seating. For private events this is ideally suited to a kitchen dinner area or if it’s in the summer & the suns shining we can easily set-up outside. Your trainer will arrive on the day approximately 15 – 20 minutes prior to the session to set-up.

For Corporate clients set-up times will depend on the group size. For large scale events in excess of 100+ guests set-up time could be a number of hours prior to the event as we may often need to run mic tests for larger groups when PA systems are required.

For the event you will be given your trainers personal contact details for the day of the event in case you need to contact them.

Do you need electric?

No for bookings under 50 guests, above this we may require a PA system. This will be discussed directly with an event organiser for large bookings above 50 guests.

Do you have public liability insurance?

We have £5,000,000 public liability insurance cover for events. If you have booked an event & would like a copy of our cover please email us your booking reference number & we will send over our policy documentation.

Does it matter if numbers change after paying the deposit?

We have minimum numbers for each package depending on your UK location. It’s worth checking at the time of booking what the minimum number is. To check this at anytime just go on to the quote page, put in the postcode of your event, fill in the first part of the quote & just try putting in 1 guest. The quote system will then tell you ‘sorry the minimum for that package is…’. As this is totally bespoke depending on your UK location this is the easiest & quickest way to check. It’s common parties booked months in advance may have changes in numbers so as long as it’s fits in the minimum required we can amend the number when the final balance is due 4 weeks prior to the event & re-calculate your new final balance.

Can I get refunds for guests that don't turn up?

Unfortunately there are no refunds for guests who cancel after the final balance has been paid 4 weeks prior to the event.

Can I have a discount?

Unfortunately as much as we would like to reduce our prices, running & setting up an event like this incurs a large number of costs. We do our upmost to charge a fair price for our service & want all customers to enjoy our experience at the same price, rather than over inflating a price to start with & then discounting it, we prefer to just offer a fair price from the start with clear pricing.

Can you cater for non-alcoholic guests?

Yes we certainly can, on the quote screen it asks for the number of guests then below it asks number of non-alcoholic guests (if applicable).

Do you have any reviews I can see from customers?

Yes please click on the feedback page www.jam-inns.co.uk/feedback & read through some of our reviews from customers.

I work for a large company & our company policy is we pay invoices 30 days after events?

Unfortunately our policy is we take up front payments from all clients as we do not offer a credit facility to any clients.

Can you cater for under 18’s?

We can offer non-alcoholic cocktails for guests 16 years old or above joining a cocktail session where the rest of the group is above 18 years old. We do not cater for all under 18 year old groups & have a very strict over 18’s policy on a class. ID may be required on a class & we adopt the government encouraged challenge 25 policy to ID guests we believe to be under 25. If this happens on a class please just accept this as a compliment & a way of your trainer finding out your names. ID required will be either passport or driving licence only.
